2. Budget Conference Call (Mar 13)
   Budget Conference Call The annual Congress budget meeting will take place at 9PM (Eastern). Committee chairs are required to submit their proposed budget needs by the end of February. As always, members are invited to listen to the discussion. An agenda, including the proposed budget items, will be posted here the weekend before the call.
3. Young Horse Evaluation Tour (Oct 1-Nov 4)
   Young Horse Evaluation Tour Starting October 1st through November 4th Barbara Frische, international breeding judge and developer of the current young horse evaluation system, is touring through the United States to evaluate foals and young horses. This is a great opportunity for anyone to have their youngsters looked at but Barbara is also able to look at adult horses, do sightings for possible ridden evaluation prospects, give lectures, have discussion evenings for a group of interested poeple, a regional club event or other possible happenings, that can be combined for a great turnout. 4. FEIF Trainer Preparation Seminar CANCELED (Feb 24-Feb 26)
   FEIF Trainer Preparation Seminar CANCELED at Creekside Farm, Rutledge, GA. 3 day riding clinic and preparation course for FEIF trainer course level 1 and 2 in November 2012. This intense 3-day clinic with clinician Nicole Kempf is open to the public and also serves as a preparation course for those planning to attend future FEIF trainer courses in the US. Auditors welcome. For further information, please email education@icelandics.org. This even has been canceled due to lack of participation.
5. FEIF Youth Cup (Jul 7-Jul 15)
   FEIF Youth Cup The FEIF Youth Cup will take place at the horse centre of Verden in it is hosted by the German Icelandic Horse Association with Kirsten Schuster in charge. The Cup starts on Saturday evening and has training Sun-Tuesday, "horse free" activities on Wednesday and it ends with a competition Thurs-Saturday. Sunday morning is goodbye time and then its time to travel back to your home country. The cost is EUR 650/participant and the deadline for the countries participation application is April 15. More detailed information will be handed out to the national youth leaders during the FEIF conference.
6. Landsmót 2012 (Jun 25-Jul 1)

7. FIRC 10th Anniversary Show (May 19-May 20)
   FIRC 10th Anniversary Show The Frida Icelandic Horse Club (FIRC) celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2012. We are planning to host a sanctioned show at Frying Pan Park in Herndon VA. We will have use of two arenas, one indoor and one outdoor plus a new barn complex which holds well over 100 horses. Close to I-66. For more information, contact Pat Moore at pat.moore81@verizon.net.
