We have again arranged for an off-tourist season weekend at Woodside Ranch with our horses.  Normally personal horses are not allowed, however, since this weekend is not during the usual family vacation season, they are allowing us to bring our Icelandics for a weekend excursion.  For more information about Woodside Ranch please see their website at www.woodsideranch.com  

You have the option of renting a small cabin for your group or family or a room in their ranch house for the fall season rates.  That fee includes your accommodations, all your meals to include dinner on Friday night, and lunch on Sunday before checking out.  All meals are served in their family style kitchen and are absolutely delicious.  The breakfast in the forest, cooked on an open wood fire, is the best ever.  Be sure to see the photos from last years event on our regional club web site www.flugnir.org.  

Prices also include your horse accommodations.  There are three paddocks and five stalls for our use.  We can separate the paddocks with electric tape to accommodate horses from different farms.  We must bring our own feed/bedding and muck out when done.  Besides the beautiful private wooded trails, there are many amenities for us to take advantage of.  The trading post has a bar, game room and dance hall, they have a theater room and a convention center.  There is a fitness center on the grounds as well as a private fishing pond.  This could be a great weekend get-away for your entire family.  

As an added bonus to the weekend, Steinar Sigurbjornsson will be with us to offer his phenomenal classroom theory on the use of equine message to help loosen the stiff areas Icelandics tend to have.  Some of us have had the benefit of this information as well as his riding instruction.  With Steinar you can be sure to laugh, learn, and truly see a difference in your horse and your riding ability when done.
